The New Wave Elite and their desire for Servants

It seems that the “Upper Class” two-job families now have a real desire for servants. They love having their children looked after during the day by a nanny in their own home and have their children bathed and preened by the time they come home after work.

Why stop at that? With the influx of cheap labour that Howard will let in on the Free Trade Agreement there will be more people available to work for a pittance. Therefore the men can have a valet, the women a ladies maid, the children a governess; the family can have a butler, cook, chauffeur and kitchen maid. The list is endless and as the Chinese only earn 25-50 cents an hour in China the servants should be cheap. If the Chinese don’t want the work we could try the Indians.
